Twilio WhatsApp Integration

Prerequisites

  • A Twilio account
  • A Twilio phone number with WhatsApp capabilities
  • WhatsApp Business API access (request through Twilio)
  • Account SID and Auth Token

Integration Setup

To integrate Twilio WhatsApp with Siren, follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to Providers: Go to the Providers section in your Siren dashboard.
  2. Select WhatsApp Channel: Choose the WhatsApp channel.
  3. Choose Twilio: Locate Twilio in the list of providers and click on Add Account.
  4. Enter Account Details: A pop-up window will appear. Fill in the required information:
    • Custom Name: A name to identify this integration in Siren
    • Account SID: Your Twilio Account SID
    • Auth Token: Your Twilio Auth Token
    • From Number: Your Twilio WhatsApp number in E.164 format (e.g., +1234567890)
    • Webhook URL: (Optional) Endpoint for message status callbacks
  5. Save Configuration: Click Save to complete the setup.
